Crowns and Fillings

Fillings: Patients need restorative dental work for a variety of reasons. The type of restorative materials and procedures chosen depend on the size of the area to be repaired, the location in the mouth, esthetic expectations, and patient preferences. The majority of the fillings done in our office are tooth colored composite fillings. Crowns: Crowns are often the recommended treatment for teeth with cracks, fractures, or large fillings. Crowns restore both strength and beauty to broken down or poorly shaped teeth. Depending on the teeth to be treated, we may choose the option of a traditional lab-fabricated crown or make your crown on-site using CEREC CAD-CAM technology • CEREC: o CEREC stands for Chariside Economical Restroation of Esthetic Ceramics o With CEREC at your dentist’s side, you can be in and out in a single visit with a permanent, all ceramic crown, onlay or veneer! o For the patient, this means no temporary crown and fewer visits!
